Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 2, 2026

ZeoInbox is a local-first desktop application maintained by Vladislav Veyn. This policy explains what information the app accesses and how it is handled when you connect an account.

Information the app accesses

If you connect Gmail, ZeoInbox requests the Google gmail.readonly permission. It accesses your Gmail address and the inbox information needed to display your messages, such as sender, subject, date, preview, and message content when you open a message. ZeoInbox does not request permission to send, modify, or delete Gmail.

Depending on the integrations you choose, ZeoInbox may also process account identifiers, email, messages, Telegram account/session data, and credentials required to connect Microsoft, Telegram, or IMAP email. These integrations are optional and are used only to provide the features you request.

How information is used

Account and message information is used to connect your selected providers, display your inbox, and operate the controls you choose in the app. ZeoInbox does not use Google user data for advertising, sell it, or use it to develop or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Where information is stored and processed

ZeoInbox is designed to run locally. It does not send your connected mailbox to a ZeoInbox-operated cloud service. The app communicates with Google and the other provider you choose to authorize and retrieve information.

OAuth refresh tokens and saved provider credentials are stored in the app's local database in encrypted form. The encryption keys are kept in the operating system's credential store. Short-lived access tokens are held in app memory while needed.

Inbox content is fetched for display and processed on your device. Application settings, inbox statuses, notification metadata, and drafts may be saved in the app's local browser storage on that device. That browser storage is not encrypted by ZeoInbox. Anyone with access to your Windows account or device may be able to access local app data.

Sharing and service providers

ZeoInbox does not sell or share Google user data with advertisers or data brokers. Google receives OAuth requests and Gmail API requests needed to provide the connection, subject to Google's Privacy Policy. Other providers receive requests necessary for the integrations you enable.

This website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard technical information, such as request metadata, to deliver and protect the website. The website does not ask you to enter mailbox credentials.

Retention and your choices

Saved account connections remain on your device until you disconnect the account or remove the app's local data. Disconnecting an account removes its saved local connection credentials; it does not itself revoke ZeoInbox's permission in the provider's account settings. You can also revoke access in your Google Account's third-party connections page.

You can remove locally saved settings and drafts by clearing ZeoInbox's app data on your device. Uninstalling the app may not remove its local data automatically; use your operating system's app-data controls if you want to delete it.

Security

ZeoInbox uses local account protection and encrypts saved provider credentials using keys held by the operating system. No method of electronic storage is completely secure. Keep your device and operating system account protected, and do not share your local app profile.

Children and changes

ZeoInbox is a general desktop communication tool and is not designed to collect information from children. This policy may be updated as the app changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
